**Pattern Only** Diagonal Stripes Slouchy Hat
**Pattern Only** Diagonal Stripes Slouchy Hat
There is just something about slouchy hats. I’m not sure if it marks me as a Portland native or I just love the aesthetic, but I love to pair them with almost any item in my wardrobe. This pattern is made up almost completely of front and back post stitches which makes it appropriate for an advanced beginner. The stitches form a subtle diagonal slant that works it’s way from the top of the hat to the bottom for an impossibly cool cold-weather accessory.
Materials
Yarn
The Dye Project Ecola Worsted (Worsted weight; 85% Merino Wool, 15% Silk; 215 yards per 100 grams); 1 Skein in Rise & Shine
Yarn Substitution Note: Any worsted weight yarn can be substituted for the yarns used in the sample project. I’ve also worked this pattern in Red Heart Soft Yarn. Please consider supporting independent dyers if you can, however. They make some really cool and unique yarns that will elevate your project into one-of-a-kind territory.
