**Pattern Only** Buds On Stems Hat Pattern
Pattern
I don’t generally work with white yarn. I don’t know why. It’s so clean and crisp and even the creamier colors are elegant. Even here, though, I couldn’t resist throwing a splash (or stripe of color). Whites are such good canvases for showing off richer colors. Of course, you can crochet this hat in any color scheme you choose, monochrome or otherwise. This pattern is suitable for advanced beginners and works up quickly in a worsted weight yarn. The Buds are a lacy stitch that will allow the wearer’s head to breathe even on cold days.

Yarn Substitution Note: Any worsted weight yarn can be substituted for the yarns used in the sample project. Please consider supporting independent dyers if you can, however. They make some really cool and unique yarns that will elevate your project into one-of-a-kind territory.
